Personal: Rodolphus was born and rised under the luxury and requirements of the Lestrange family. His life has always been easy and well planned so in his free time he had learnt to do what he wants. Once he got to Hogwarts, he was sorted into Slytherin, which made his parents happy and proud of him. They have always planned Rodolphus' life, and he hadn't complained because that made things easier, and following their rules gave him the freedom of doing exactly what he wanted with his parents ignoring his slips, specially his mother. Now, with twenty-one, he has been informed of his promisement with Bellatrix Black. Not that it makes him specially happy, because for him he would never get married at all, but at least he's engaged with someone he really liked during his school days, as Bella is smart, cute and sexy.
